Dunbar 1650 Walk & Commemoration

Join battlefield historian and Scottish Battlefields Trust director Arran Johnston as he presents a narrated walk from Dunbar High Street to the Battlefield Monument, commemorating the anniversary of the Battle of Dunbar in 1650. Dressed as a Scots officer from the time, Arran will escort walkers through the events of the battle by following the route of Cromwell's main attack. On reaching the monument, he will lead a short service of commemoration and lay a wreath in honour of those who fought.

The event is free to attend, and you are welcome either to join for the walk (departing 10.30am from outside Dunbar Townhouse Museum), or else at the monument if you are only able to attend the service (be sure to arrive by 12pm). Please be advised there is very limited parking at the monument, however).
