New interpretation at Rullion Green (1666)
/We are pleased to share the news that Edinburgh University have installed a new interpretation panel on Rullion Green battlefield in the Pentland Hills.
The battle saw an outnumbered and outmatched force of Covenanter insurgents routed by a larger government force on 28 November 1666.
The new interpretation board stands on land belonging to the university, and the Trust was consulted on its content. A similar board has also been installed by the university in the southern area of Sheriffmuir (1715). We hope you enjoy seeing both when you’re next walking these landscapes.
