Darnick (1526) - 500th anniversary programme
/We are delighted to have been working with the Darnick Village Development Trust on ensuring the 500th anniversary of the Battle of Darnick (1526) is marked in fitting style.
The full programme runs over 24 & 25 July 2026. Our contribution has been coordination of a presentation by our own Arran Johnston and Jenn Scott, supported by soldiers from the Lothian Levy re-enactment society on the Saturday afternoon. This takes the form of an interactive costumed walk, exploring the story of the battlefield and the clothing and arms of the soldiers who fought it.
We will also have a special commemorative booklet available on the day for just £2, which can be found in Darnick village hall.
