1st SBT Wargames Show a great success!

The Scottish Battlefields Trust is keen to engage with as wide an audience as possible, and it seemed to us that Scotland's dedicated and talented wargamers and model painters surely shared much of our passion for the country's military heritage.

On Saturday (20th February) we therefore hosted our first ever wargames show, inviting participants and traders to the famous "Gothenburg" pub in Prestonpans. Beneath portraits of General Cope and Prince Charlie, the great battles of Killiecrankie and Flodden were replayed, whilst the Gododdin warred with the Scotti, Reivers raided their neighbours, and Jock Porteous once again provoked the angry mobs of Edinburgh.

We were absolutely delighted with both the quality of the presentations and the enthusiasm of the visitors. Numbers were great, and the feedback has been brilliant. We therefore hope to plan another such occasion for next year!

So the SBT would like to thank all those who came along for supporting this event. We hope you had as much fun as we did...
